How Do I Reserve My Coronado Island Wedding?

It's super easy! Call or text (619) 252-9970 or email us at seasideweddingsd@gmail.com to talk more about your elopement or full-service wedding at Centennial Park or Bayview Park. We will assist you with securing required event permits, and then email you a customized contract that you will fill out and e-sign right online. We require 50% of the wedding package amount to reserve your date with the balance due 60 days prior to the ceremony. For Coronado Island wedding packages booked less than 60 days out, we require the payment in full. We accept all major credit cards, Paypal and checks. Last minute and short notice weddings, commitment ceremonies and vow renewals are always welcome!

What Wedding Sites Are Available in Coronado?

We offer wedding packages at the beaches and harborview parks on Coronado Island. Coronado Beach and the Coronado Dunes are toes in the sand locations with views of the Pacific Ocean and iconic Hotel del Coronado. Centennial Park and Bayview Park are both grassy parks with stunning views of the San Diego bay and city skyline. Just ask us which location might be the best choice for your seaside beach wedding. We are here to help!

Are Permits Required for Coronado Weddings?

Permits are NOT required for our Elope to Coronado packages. No permits are required for specific areas of Coronado Beach / Coronado Dunes, Centennial Park and Bayview Park as long as there are no more than 20 guests and no setup of any wedding stuff like chairs, arches, decorations or music.

Permits ARE REQUIRED for our Full-Service wedding packages that include setup of wedding equipment and must be obtained by the couple from the City of Coronado Park & Recreation Department. We are not able include the permits for the Coronado Island locations in our packages, as the City of Coronado does not allow anyone but the couple to file for the permit. Ask us for more info on obtaining a Coronado wedding permit.

Not interested in the hassle or expense of filing for location permits yourself? There are lots of other lovely wedding locations in San Diego that we serve where the permits are included in our packages, which makes things easy and less expensive for you. Sunset Cliffs, Cuvier Wedding Bowl in La Jolla, Mission Beach, Harbor Island Park, Tidelands Park, Ventura Cove and Sunset Point in Mission Bay. How Long Have Been Planning Beach Weddings?

We have been Coronado Island wedding planners and wedding officiants since 2005, and we have tons of experience! We are local San Diegans that live and work in the coastal areas, so we are very familiar with the ebb and flow of the general public at various times of the year at our coastal, cliffside and park locations, as well as the many rules and regulations that govern a Coronado Island wedding or vow renewal ceremony.

Our couples never have to worry about their photographer showing up late or not at all, a wilted bridal bouquet or embarrassing moments when a Lifeguard asks for your permit, and you don't have one because the out-of-town company you hired said you didn't need one. When you enlist us to help with your Coronado Island wedding or vow renewal, you can be assured you are receiving honest and accurate info while being supported by an experienced wedding planner who will always be there to help you!

Where Do We Obtain Our Marriage License?

If you wish to be legally married in San Diego, you will have to get a California marriage license. Our officiants are not able to sign off on a license from out of state, so both parties must appear together with their ID at any California County Clerk office. You can get your marriage license from the County Clerk anywhere in California and you can be married anywhere in California. More about the process for obtaining your California marriage license is on our website. Click Here for Marriage License Info!

Our couples can enjoy the unique option of actually choosing the ceremony that they would like their Officiant to perform. Our Ceremony & Vows Library includes a selection of heartfelt wedding vows, as well as your choice of a beautifully-written wedding or vow renewal ceremony. Our non-denominational officiants are comfortable in both non-religious and religious settings and are happy to include poems, personal words or special readings. If you are bringing your own officiant, they are welcome to use our ceremony library as a resource... you can even write your own vows!

Do You Offer Ceremonies for Interfaith Couples?

Yes! Our officiants are comfortable in both religious and non-religious settings for couples who are from different backgrounds. Couples will have an opportunity to choose their ceremony and vows from our extensive Ceremony & Vows Library, so you can be assured that your wedding or vow renewal ceremony will be a true reflection of your love and commitment to each other. What Time Is Sunset for a Coronado Wedding?

Sunset times will vary and are dependent on the time of year. We will share helpful information on the best times for the ceremony to achieve that "golden hour" sunset lighting for your wedding photos.

How Long Is the Actual Ceremony?

The actual ceremony will run about 20 minutes but is dependent on the ceremony that you choose from our Ceremony & Vows Library and how long your wedding or renewal vows are. You and your guests will have access to to the wedding site for one hour from the scheduled ceremony time so there is plenty of time for the ceremony and photos, and to just enjoy the view!

Can We Bring Our Own Decorations or Flowers?

No. Unfortunately, we do not allow outside decorations, tables, arches, chairs or signage to be bought onto the wedding site. Couples are welcome to bring their own wedding party flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages), but we do not allow any outside florists at the wedding site, nor do we allow outside flowers to be placed on the arch, chairs or in the aisle. We are a "one-stop shop" with an extensive inventory of wedding decor, as well as a full-service Flower Shop where we create custom-designed florals for our couples. Visit our Flower Shop website at www.ABeautifulBouquet.com to see samples of our work.

Do We Need a Wedding Rehearsal?

No. Everything we do is super simple and straightforward so a wedding rehearsal is not necessary. We will provide an arrival schedule and detailed itinerary with information on the processional, the actual ceremony and the recessional so everyone is familiar with the process. Just show up dressed and ready to be married, and we will make sure everything is smooth and stress-free so you can enjoy your Coronado ceremony.

Is There Parking on Coronado Island?

Of course! There is parking at all Coronado Beach, Centennial Park & Bayview Park wedding locations. However, parking at the beaches, specifically, can be a bit of a pain, especially on the weekends and during the summer months. A car service, limousine or group transportation, is a good option, if you have the budget. Uber or Lyft are also easy services to get you to and from the wedding site and will help keep things stress-free. However you decide to arrive at your Coronado Island wedding is completely up to you!

Are There Restrooms at the Beaches and Parks?

There are public restrooms at Coronado Beach and Hotel del Coronado, but they are a long walk from the wedding site. There are no restrooms at or nearby Centennial Park or Bayview Park. It is a good idea to inform your guests that restrooms are not readily available at the Coronado locations. If restrooms are an important requirement, just ask us about other locations that have public restrooms onsite.

Is Smoking or Alcohol Allowed at the Locations?

No! Both alcohol and smoking are prohibited at the Coronado Island beach and park locations.

What If Rain Is Predicted On Our Wedding Day?

San Diego's weather is pretty awesome all year long but during our rainy season (Nov - April) there will be an increased chance of precipitation. We are not able to set up our wedding equipment in the rain, and our photographers are not able to shoot in the rain, even if it is just sprinkling. Since we are a small, family-owned company and only do one wedding per day, we are able to be flexible and can accommodate a change in plans if Mother Nature is feeling moody and we are not able to hold the wedding at the beach, park or cliffside as planned. We offer a reschedule option, a covered outdoor location, or an indoor location option in case of rain.
